Carcinomas & Keratoses (C&K) is The Skin Cancer Foundation’s digital publication for medical professionals that focuses on keratinocyte carcinomas, also known as nonmelanoma skin cancers. C&K sheds light on the most recent and important developments in keratinocyte cancers and precancers, including basal cell carcinoma (BCC), cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC), Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) and actinic keratosis (AK). We created C&K in 2019 because we believed this focus was long overdue, and that these lesions have been dangerously downplayed as “cancers you can just cut off.” Our mission is to give these cancers the serious attention and spotlight they deserve.
